Haas When all is said and done I absolutely love this thing. It looks restaurant quality and fits our deck perfectly. Water drains well and the sliding bug net works great. When the construction is finished it’s completely worth it.
Construction of this was no picnic however. I built it by myself and it took me 8 hours. I’m 6’3, 30 years old and healthy. If you don’t meet any of those qualifications you will absolutely need a second person. Like others have noted online many parts have damages and imperfections, but I was able to fix everything on site. As a warning from other reviewers I kept EVERYTHING loose. I didn’t tighten hardly any bolts completely until I was finished. In doing this I didn’t have any problems fitting the roof in besides just technical errors and bent metal I was able to straighten myself. It’s not fun to build, at one point I was cursing the engineer who designed its construction, but when it’s finished you will love it.
If you want to save yourself the hassle just pay the $350 and have the contractors do it. Otherwise keep everything loose until the end and you should be ok.
